Personality: Theiyw is pretty wary of getting attached to someone else, because he's always been on the move. He's known to make big decisions without thought, because there's not really much time to think when important things are happening! Because of this, he can be a little flighty and distracted, although if he cares about someone he probably won't be able to stop listening to them. Once he starts listening, he's a pretty good listener, although he doesn't always now how to respond. His love for metalworking came about due to his love for all things permanent, and the rings he wears around his horn and his neck are symbols of that.

Your troll's story:
Theiyw grew up mainly on the move. His lusus is migratory, and therefore he had to travel quite a lot to account for migration patterns. Because of this, he never really had a home, and likes to take anything he can slowly, because he never knows when he'll have to move again.

He doesn't particularly favor the hemospectrum, and although he still benefits from it, his moving lifestyle and the fact that his hive is somewhat tentlike, so he can pack it up (where most of his muscle stength comes from, along with metalworking) he lives a lifestyle of a troll lower on the hemospectrum. He doesn't really have many pop culture tastes, because he doesn't ever have time to get caught up. Instead, he usually leafs through a few adventure-style paperbacks, all of which he's read many times. They're the kind of book with lots of swordfighting and almost too many characters to remember, although if you're a fan of the series, you'll probably have everything memorized by the time you're finished reading book one.

Due to the fact that he moves a lot, he never had many connections with people, and although he enjoys being around trolls, he finds himself put off by them when they're too aggressive. He's a rather good fighter due to the fact that he's challenged a lot when he moves to a new area, and he finds he makes friends with lowbloods easier than he makes friends with highbloods, although they're usually afraid of him at first.

-He hasn't really had anyone he's been around long enough to talk to about any of his issues (mostly his issue with never really being able to be open with someone). Although he'd really like someone in the red or pale quadrant, he doesn't want to have to leave them due to his lifestyle.
-He'll usually craft some form of jewelry for someone he wants to remember for a long time, or a place he wants to remember. He'll usually wear it as a bracelet or a ring, and he gets frustrated at himself if he loses anything.

The Obscator began as an important member of the Empress' "court". However, as time went on, he found that his metalworking abilities were mocked by his peers due to a lack of talent.

Furious at himself for not seeing it before, Obscator left the court, taking with him the hammer  he'd been gifted by the Empress - realizing now that it had been a sort of joke gift instead of an earnest one.

Using the hammer, he built himself a forge in a secluded cave, and in a fit of passion, broke the hammer while making himself a new one. (This is actually Theiyw's weapon, but more on that in Theiyw's journal).

Due to how he used hiding and the ability to make weapons out of seemingly nothing, Obscator was never found by the Empire, and assumedly spent the rest of his nights alone in the cave, building weapons for any trolls who might oppose those who had scorned him.

Once he had the hammer, Obscator used it to create a legendary set of armour. It was rumoured to be so light that he wore it constantly. Only trolls who he knew closely knew what he really looked like, and under some instances even they had trouble remembering him.

His death remains a mystery, although due to Theiyw's discoveries in the cave, it's thought that he burned alive in an accident in his hidden forge. All the things he owned and had crafted over the sweeps were lost, aside from his hammer, which was spared due to the fact that it was made under such heated circumstances as never seen before. In fact, due to the circumstances of Theiyw's discovery of the cave, he attempted to break the hammer multiple times and failed, only then adopting it as his new weapon.

Understandably, not much is known of him, and the information that is out there is mostly from his time in the Empress' court. Due to the amount and quality of the weapons he made, it was rumored that there was more than one smith in the forge producing the weapons, however this is untrue.

Part of Theiyw's attachment to the cave forge was that the fire was constantly burning. This is supposedly due to the fact that, like the hammer, it was created with so much emotion that time itself could not put it out.
